Hello everyone! If you're looking at this then you've actually opened this file and looked at it,
which means you've shown some interest, and for that I'm ever so thankful. To bore you I'm first
going to explain about the template, how it was built, etc.

This template was built for the texplate competition, there was supposed to be to others, but I
felt the need to make this one good, I didn't want to "half-ass" it, don't worry the other
templates will come later, as I get time to finish them up proper. I wanted to create a
magazine/newspaper like design, I'm not convinced that I did that good a job, but maybe you can
improve where I have failed. I used Times New Roman for the headings, as I feel it brings an
almost print like quality to the design. The rest of the text is probably Arial/Helvetica,
depending on what platform you're viewing from, I find it cleaner and easier to read.

I used moo.fx (http://moofx.mad4milk.com) for the category drop down, it's a fantastic
piece of script, and I love it. I also kinda ripped off Thame's (http://www.erraticwisdom.com)
category listing, as I think it's a very nice way to do things. I tried to stay away from
plugins, as that'd only complicate things, but I'm hoping that someone mods my template with
all the coolest ones and the sends me the link (hint hint).

Now To Assembling this beast! Move the folder to you're textpattern directory,
(http://www.servername.com/textpattern/simple-news/ should be your outcome.) now all of your
CSS, Images, and Javascript are in place. Open page(default) and copy all of it's contents into
presentation/pages/default. Then repeat the process of copying the information from page(archive)
into presentation/pages/archive. You're pages are now setup! For your main article form
(presentation/forms/default) open up form(default) and copy in the text, as for the
form(default-article) you'll need to first create a form called default-article make sure it's
type is article. Then copy the text in. Repeat the process for the corresponding forms, they
should all be labeled with the proper names of the form data they contain.

For the links you'll only need to setup two link categories, site (for your main navigation) and
links (for your links section on the right side of the page. All page categories you create will
be put into the categories tab on the page, for some slick moo.fx action. Just so you know.
